David M. Breznicky
David is currently a resident of Flourtown, Pennsylvania, born and raised in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania . He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Philadelphia University, is a licensed CPA and owns the firm Breznicky Associates, PC, located in Ambler, Pennsylvania, with his brother. He has been married to Karen for 27 years and has 3 beautiful children - Jenna, David and Sara.
David performed in a band during his high school and college years. He began writing songs when he was 19 years old. Due to family demands and his father passing away at an early age, music was put on the "back burner" and the years passed by, as they do for all of us.
Four years ago, at the urging of his 16 year old son, he began to play the guitar and write music again. Within one year and a half there were enough songs written for the full length CD, entitled The Breznicky Project. This debut CD is soon to be released. It was produced at Morning Star Studios in Springhouse, Pennsylvania. David has spared nothing in his quest to produce the best music possible. Both the musicians and the accompanying vocalists are internationally recognized, having performed with artists including Bon Jovi, Donna Summer, Jill Scott and George Duke. His lyrics paint pictures with words, his messages are compelling and timely - his music powerfully orchestrated.
In January 2005, David wrote the song, "All The Time", in response to the suffering caused by the Tsunami. Tragically, this song is now just as appropriate for our fellow citizens struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It's underlying message is of hope and belief in the strength of the human spirit. This uplifting song acknowledges and empathizes with the afflicted, then goes on to see the world/our country coming together in a positive way as we pool our resources to help. The song implores the fortunate ones to give to the unfortunate and to give not just now, but ALL THE TIME !!!!
Another notable song on his debut CD is "Boy Soldier". This song presents the war in Iraq from the soldiers' and their families' perspective. It is neither pro or con war. It depicts the powerful emotions of those facing battle and of those left behind. In chronicling one soldier's journey, through song, the listener can literally sense the pulse of the soldier, hear the tenor of his questioning voice, then feel the confidence in his resolution. He calls himself your "soldier and friend" and he closes the song with "Hope this War Soon Ends". From the beautiful voices of the mother and girlfriend/wife to the haunting sounds and military drums, this song is one of the most dramatic songs ever written about war.
David has written the music, lyrics and arrangements on all eleven songs on The Breznicky Project. It is his voice that you hear on three songs, entitled, "If I Tried", "Today" and "All The Time". He has just completed music and lyrics for his 19 song rock opera that he looks forward to producing and releasing in 2007/2008.
David is a prolific composer, writing at the pace of nearly one song every other week for the past 6 months. He is a successful businessperson, involved in several businesses of his own, in addition to professionally advising his broad and accomplished client base within his CPA practice. Throughout his career, community activism has been a priority. He is currently the Treasurer of The Flourtown Business Association, is a member of the Privy Council for the National Museum of American Illustration in Newport, Rhode Island, and has contributed many hours to Ambler's Main Street Association, Ambler Ambulance Association and many other non-profit organizations. David and his publishing company, Kayak Music, are contributing a portion of the CD's proceeds to both disaster relief organizations and to agencies assisting our severely injured service men and women.
David's music reflects the spirit of an individual who has experienced much, contributed even more and has the boundless energy to pursue his dream and make it a reality.
